Nice to meet you

Glenda Overfelt
With over three decades of experience in the antiques and appraisal industry, I have been actively engaged in acquiring and retailing estate property and antiques since 1992 through my business, Whimsey Antiques, and the Georgetown Antique Mall. Since 1997, I have specialized in appraising personal property and antiques, bringing a deep understanding of historical and market values to my work.
As an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, I adhere to the highest professional standards, including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). My expertise is enriched by active participation in professional organizations such as the Wedgwood International Seminar, the Antiques and Collectables Dealer Association, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
I continually expand my knowledge through specialized training and attendance at industry-leading conferences, including the International Society of Appraisers Core Course in Appraisal Studies, the ISA Appraisal of Antiques and Residential Contents Course, as well as annual ISA Conferences and the Wedgwood International Seminar. Topics have ranged from Victorian and Edwardian jewelry to silver and wood identification, as well as specialized workshops such as the FBI Art Crime Team Case Study and the Dept. of Interior Extinct Animal Workshop. My passion for antiques, combined with years of hands-on experience and professional education, allows me to provide informed, reliable, and ethical appraisals for collectors, estates, and institutions.
Glenda has earned the designation of Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers. To achieve this, she declared a specialty in Antique & Fine and Decorative Arts and has completed 700 hours of appraisal-related experience. Glenda is now eligible to work toward the CAPP designation which is the highest level of ISA membership.
